Wise Up Women- Are you the 42% with NO Emergency Savings Fund?
A recent poll by WiseUpWomen.org, a site of the Women’s Bureau of the U.S. Department of Labor found that 42% of those surveyed did not have an emergency savings fund. That’s not a smart thing as with today’s continued uncertain environment, many may need to dip into savings a time or two or three.
The site states, “Your emergency fund is your ‘peace of mind’ fund. By having funds on hand saved for emergencies, you are really building a cushion to fall back on should some unforeseen, serious financial emergency occur in your life.” So do the smart thing; start calculating and saving for your ‘peace of mind’ fund.
